Ron is a Co-founder and Senior Partner for ei Quality Consultants Inc. He is responsible for all ISO 9000 implementation operations and quality training activities including auditing services for the company. Ron is a certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, (LRQA) a subsidiary of Lloyd’s of London. Ron is also employed by Colonna’s Shipyard Inc. as their Director of Business Development (Government Contracts) supporting all federal ship repair and construction activities. Colonna’s is a full service ship repair facility located in the Port of Norfolk, Virginia. Founded in 1875, it is the oldest family owned, full service private shipyard in the United States. Prior to joining Colonna’s, Ron was the ISO Management Representative for AMSEC LLC a subsidiary of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Ron was responsible for five Business Area’s encompassing over 4,500 employees coordinating all ISO/Quality activities including Executive Steering Committees, internal and external auditing plans, 3rd party audits and resolution of quality related issues/initiatives Company wide. Ron earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management Technology from Saint LEO College in 1995 and his Masters of Science Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Quality Management from Troy University in 1999. Ron is currently an Associate Professor at the Tidewater Community College, Industrial Engineering Department and an Adjunct Professor at Old Dominion University, Marine Engineering Department. His courses have included: Quality Assurance Technology, Force, Mass and Torque Measurement, Industrial Supervision, Project Management, Team Building, Standards of Quality and Auditing, Introduction to Metrology, Fundamentals of ISO 9000 and Advanced ISO Topics. Ron is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer having served over 25 years in the aviation ordnance/weapons community. Ron is an active member of the American Society for Quality and the American Society of Naval Engineers, Virginia Ship Repair Association and the Old Dominion University Marine Engineering Board of Directors. |
